Dear Teachers,

Only a few more days until the end of the month. Still time to sign up if you’re seeing this for the very first time! The September challenge can earn teams a maximum of 6 points, but you receive 3 just for signing up, creating at least one Kattis account, and submitting at least one solve attempt. The remaining 3 points are awarded if your team collectively solves all 5 problems.

The CS4IL team will score the results starting on Wednesday, October 1st. At that time the next challenge will also be released on our tournament website. In this 2nd round, teams will only have until mid-month, the 15th of October, to complete the challenges. If you’ve watched one of our recent videos on our Resources page, you’ll have a hint on what part of the challenge will be (hint: it is not a Kattis problem).

Team Names

Please check the for your team name. We have been re-naming teams in Kattis per your instructions. If we’ve missed something or made a typo, please use the form below. If we don’t receive a name, we’ll use the school name as the default.

Scoring

As mentioned above, we’ll be manually reviewing Kattis for completed solutions. If you believe we made an error, please use the feedback form below. We reserve the right to adjust scores at any time.

October will be our very first in-person events for both teachers and students! Keep these dates on your radar:
